1. This webquest should be assigned after a brief overview of the Transcontinental Railroad time period. It does touch on many aspects of the 1860's - 1900's.
2. It is suggested that there are 5 team members to a group. Modify according to computer availability.
3. This project is appropriate for upper middle through high school level.
4. It is recommended that the historian role is done by a more ambitious student and the engineer role be assigned to a less motivated student.
