Before using the Webquest:
· Read aloud to your class, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. · Divide class into groups of 4 · Follow directions below to make accordion books with class (one for each group) |
Accordion Books
· Paper – Folded butcher paper, tag board, or other large paper · Cut paper into a long strip or fold paper in half the long way for strength · Fold the paper into 5 segments · Insert or attach a piece of tag at each end to create a sturdy cover · Students will create an original artwork to attach to cover (could be a painting, drawing, collage, etc…) · The inside pages will be used by group members to show the life cycle they chose. Each group member will be responsible for creating one page (with a drawing) that describes their stage of the life cycle. |
