Introduction

Congratulations! You have just graduated from high school and are about to embark on a dream trip with three of your friends.

Task

Did you ever want to go on a really cool trip with your friends? Do you think it would be fun to explore far away places? Guess what? Mr.Ambercrombie, a local philanthropist, has donated $2500 for a group of students that can create the best comprehensive trip plan. Only one group will be selected. Hopefully, it will be your group! During this project, you and your group will plan the ideal trip, which will include route planning, destination, food, lodging, and recreational activities.

 Process

1. As a group, brainstorm possible trip destinations.

2. Each person in the group will be responsible for planning one of the following areas of the trip:

Transportation Director
Procuring the vehicle to be used for the trip to include operation costs.

Trip Planner
Developing the trip destination and the route to get there.

Social Director
Planning the lodging, meals, and recreational activities.

Financial Planner
Creating a budget and handling the finances for the trip.

3. As a group the four of you will collaborate, share your findings, and produce a final product to be presented to Mr. Ambercrombie, the town safety commissioner. This presentation will be in the form of a brochure of not more than six typewritten pages. It must include the following five elements based on your Internet research.

Trip budget (spreadsheet)
Destination map (drawing program)
Vehicle proposal (word processing document)
Trip itinerary (table)
