INTRODUCTI0N

"Hi boys and girls! I'm Barney the Banker.

I have a big problem that I hope you can help me with.

This morning, on the way to the bank, the truck that delivers the money had to slam on its brakes to avoid hitting a skunk. (Pee Yew)!!

The skunk was fine, but all the money in the truck spilled out of its bags. Now all the coins are mixed together and Dave the driver needs your help sorting, counting and stacking it, or he will never make it back to the bank on time.

Will you please help him and tell him how many coins to put in each pile, so it won't tip over again. He really needs your help!!"

"Hi kids, it's me Dave again. I wanted to thank you for helping me sort, count and stack all those coins, I couldn't have done it without you! You all did a great job. I hope you had fun doing it."

"Barney the banker was very happy that I made it back to the bank on time. I'm sure you will learn a lot more about money as you get older. Maybe your class can visit a bank some day and Barney, or another banker can show you where the money is kept. Thanks again for your help!"
