Program Objectives

To provide school districts special education services and programs to children with disabilities with the following impairments:

To provide related services to districts to assist individual children who benefit from special education:

bullet Assistive Technology
bullet Educational Interpreting
bullet Medical Services for Diagnosis and Evaluation
bullet Occupational Therapy
bullet Orientation and Mobility (VI only)
bullet Physical Education (Specially Designed)
bullet Psychological Services
bullet Physical Therapy
bullet Recreation
bullet Rehabilitation Counseling Services
bullet School Health Services
bullet School Social Work Services
bullet Transition/VocationTransportation
Program Participating Districts:
All 27 districts within the CESA 8 area, plus 27 additional districts from the CESA 7 area requesting specialized services

Program Evaluation:
CESA 8 Special Education Administration in cooperation with districts helps provide evaluation of specially designed instruction and related services at no cost to parents, to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities.  Special Education programs and related services are appropriately provided through IEP’s to all identified children with disabilities.
