Since
its inception in the 1988-89 school year Northeastern Wisconsin has employed the
concept of networking and county resources including law enforcement, human
services, education, clergy, business, medical, parents, students and other
interested community membership to combine their expertise by creating county
specific prevention partnerships. These partnerships seek to reduce duplication
of services, upgrade and expand current resources and provide for proactive
planning on the issues such as Holistic Health, as well as, reducing the impact
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Other Drug Abuse and Violence
that place our youth and their families at-risk.
Over the past 23 years, the
partnerships of the CESA 8 region have been among Wisconsin's most active. Much
of the success in developing strategies to increase our states understanding of
the issues that are placing our students, families and communities at-risk have
been authored in whole or in part by our area partnerships.
Within the CESA 8 region
principal partnerships include:
-
